Welcome. It is a pleasure to meet you. I am qualified as a Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychotherapist, Supervisor, Reiki and Rahanni Healer and EFT Practitioner.
I began working life as a partner and graphic designer in a family print business. In 2000, I decided to change direction. While I loved the graphic design and the creativity of the print industry, I felt drawn to train as psychotherapist/counsellor. At the same time, I also reconnected to my spirituality and began attending courses in spiritual healing and other alternative therapies. The beauty of life is that sometimes, a set of synchronistic events can lead us to re-discover our unique gifts and potential. There are intuitive and mindful occurrences that awaken us and guide us to take a different path.
From 2007, I worked for many years’ as a child, and adolescent counsellor in primary and secondary schools, supervised counsellors, networked and trained professionals, and co-ordinated/developed a children’s and young people’s bereavement service in a local hospice. Alongside this I also worked as an alternative therapist using ancient techniques such as reiki and spiritual healing.
Events in 2012, led me to take a break from working life and after rediscovering myself in a new way, I returned to working life. I now teach in Adult Education and work as a healer, supervisor and counsellor in private practice with children, young people and adults.
I work ethically, spontaneously and intuitively and have professional and life experience that I believe helps me to connect with individuals in a unique and compassionate approach. I am a fully registered and qualified BACP accredited psychotherapist, supervisor and tutor that can provide counselling and training to adults, children, young people and professionals. I work within a range of areas related to psychological health, wellness, personal and spiritual development.
Through groups and one to one sessions, I provide a safe space for individuals to talk, play and be heard – enabling individuals to reconnect to their higher wisdom, inner strength, resilience, and resources helping them to reach their true potential. I am fully committed to offering a service that is welcoming, warm, supportive and inclusive.
I provide face to face services and online services via Skype or Zoom.
At times when life becomes challenging, it can be helpful to have someone walk alongside even if only for a short time. As the famous poet George Elliott says:
“Blessed is the influence of one true, loving human soul on another.”
I am passionate about helping others to connect with their true potential and divine spark. Everyone has a unique purpose and we are all inter-connected. Sometimes perception, experience and life challenges can disconnect us from who we truly are. Within every person is the ability to re-connect with their true self and discover their own unique gifts and talents.
I am blessed and privileged to walk alongside individuals for a while and I love seeing people develop, grow and transform and reach their true potential. Within each and every one of us there is peace, tranquility, love and wholeness. It is our divine purpose to truly be who we were born to be. Even though we may have a different journey and experience/perceive life differently, we are all one. By re-connecting to our true selves we can connect with our hearts and become unified and whole enabling us to live a more fulfilled life.
Thank you to everyone who has been and will be a part of my journey. I am truly grateful to have been a part of your lives and it is a pleasure to provide a holding, safe and nurturing space for your to grow and reconnect with your beauty.
I am a fully accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. This is an organisation that provides an ethical framework for all counsellors and psychotherapists. I follow ethical guidelines and attend regular supervision and continuing professional development. I work within the Equality Act, GDPR and Data Protection Act and all official guidelines for our culture. I consider it important to be aware of bias and attend regular courses and workshops that explore this in depth. As I work as a psychotherapist, healer and facilitate mindfulness and meditation groups, I attend regular workshops, groups, and retreats as I believe it is important to practice and experience whatever I ask others to participate in, providing a safe and authentic holding space with clear boundaries.
